Church Rescue Kitty church church church
I have had quite a few adventures. I was noticed by the Brothers at the Church slinking around. They could tell I was pretty hungry. I had gotten beat up a little and had a few gashes on me. They thought I was unable to walk properly, and it appeared that my back legs or hip was injured. They tried to approach me, but I kept eluding them and hiding. They kindly left food out for me. They thought I disappeared for a bit because they didn't see me, but I came back. Finally they figured out where I was sleeping on the church grounds, and were able to leave food out for me more regularly. But I was so scared that I avoided everyone and was unapproachable. The Brothers contacted the Rescue, so they brought a trap with some really yummy food. I was so hungry that by the time they had it set up and left, I was already inside! It only took 10-15 minutes! The Brothers then brought me into their home, and waited for the Rescue to come and pick me up. They decided to let me out of that contraption, and then I showed them how appreciative I was! I purred and rubbed all over them. I licked them, I kissed them. I gave head butts and could not stop expressing my thanks. We snuggled this way for a while, until the Rescue picked me up and brought me to an emergency intake foster home. I was put in a crate and shared my foster room with another foster who was already in there. The next day, I was brought to the vet's. I was checked for a microchip or any other identifying info. I was de-wormed and tested for FIV & Feline Leukemia, so as not to share this with my new roomie. The good news is thatI tested negative for both FIV & Feline Leukemia. The vet determined that I was young - somewhere around 1.5 years old. The Rescue was convinced that I had a family somewhere, but no one was looking for me. I look exactly like Lady Carmel, and since we were rescued from the same church and are the same age, it was suspected we were siblings. If you adopt me, you will never find a more affectionate friend. I love snuggling on laps and give non-stop kisses and purrs. Please help me find my permanent home.

Note: Church Rescue Kitty turned out to be a lost cat named "Rocky" who had gotten out of his home. Our foster tracked down his family through missing cat ads on Kijiji. He has been reunited with his family.
