Mama Phyllis:
I was a stray outside. I spent most of my winter foraging for food on my rescuers front porch.  I was so afraid, I would climb on the roof to make sure that I did not come in contact with any people.  I slowly began to trust my rescuer who started leaving food for me outside. After, I spent a few -30 degree Celcius days outside, with the windchill,  I  gathered up enough courage and started to peer through the windows at the well-fed cats warm and snug inside the house.  My rescuer came outside with some food, and I knew immediately that this was a good thing.  She brought me inside to a nice warm room.

Since then, from the terrified, thin, malnourished, and worm-infested cat that I was, I have blossomed into a beautiful healthy brown tabby with a shiny coat.  With the love from my rescuer, I have learned to trust humans again and have become a very affectionate cat. I love to sit in your lap. I trusted my rescuer implicitly, and a few weeks of coming inside, asked my rescuer to help me deliver my kittens that were on their way. I will be ready for a permanent home in August, once all my kittens have been weaned and adopted. All of my kittens have been adopted into new homes, so it's just me left!

Kitten 1:  I am a little girl. First born, my name is Fajita, and I am a short-haired grey tabby!  I am a very daring kitten... I was the first to come out of our cozy bed and explore.  I am the only kitten who will purr loudly while nursing on Mom.  I get along very well with all my siblings, and would really like to be adopted with one of my littermates as we are all such good friends.  I will be ready to go home with you late July to early August, once I have been socialized and weaned from my Mom.

Kitten 2:  Hi, I am Burrito, and I am a big boy. I love to nurse on Mom while lying on my back.  I was the second born.  I have white blotches on me with some brown tabby markings.   I like to cuddle and sleep right now, but I adore wrestling with my sisters Queso or Salsa.  I would like to be adopted with one of them as we are such good playmates.  I will be ready to go home with you late July to early August, once I have been socialized and weaned from my Mom.

Kitten 3:  I was a little slow on the nipple-finding, but have it all figured out now.  My name is Salsa, and I am a white and black little short-haired girl.  I like to cuddle with Mom, and my littermates.  I love attention.  I am learning to get out there and explore.  I was the first to have my eyes open and cannot believe how much there is to see and do.  I get along very well with Burrito and Queso, and we love to wrestle. I would love to be adopted with either my Mom, Burrito or Queso.  I will be ready to go home with you late July to early August, once I have been socialized and weaned from my Mom.

Kitten 4:  My name is Queso, and I am a black and white, short-haired girl.  I need to explore every corner of our bed, and am very curious.  I like to tackle Burrito and Salsa and provoke a little play time.  I am very quiet, but interactive with everyone. I get along with Burrito and Salsa and would like to be adopted with one of them.  I will be ready to go home with you late July to early August, once I have been socialized and weaned from my Mom.

*I have found my forever home and my name is now Oreo!*

Kitten 5:  I was the last born, and snuck out of Mom some time during the night.  My name is Taco and I am a male, short-haired brown tabby.  I like to cuddle!  I am still a baby,  but I love food.  I will even suckle on the blankets and floor when Mom is not around.  Fajita likes to play with me.  I really like Fajita, and Mom, and would really like to stay with one of them.  I will be ready to go home with you late July to early August, once I have been socialized and weaned from my Mom.
