I was nicknamed Enzo to thank my rescuer for saving my life. I had been
wandering the streets of Ottawa - miaowing at anyone and everyone I
came across - begging for food and attention. My rescuer put food out
for me, and I ate it in seconds. I was first noticed outside
in the late winter / early Spring. My rescuer was shocked at
how much I wanted to eat all the time. I was starving.... I
would wait for my rescuer, and as soon as she left for work or came
home from work - I appeared at her door - wanting inside and food. My
rescuer walks her cat, and I soon learned that if I became friends with
her cat, I could get inside the house. I snuck inside with her cat a
few times, and was in heaven when I did! I had all the food I could eat
and all the water I could drink. I was so tired after the food, warmth,
and finally feeling safe, that all I did when I snuck in was have a
long deep sleep.
One day, I did not show up and my rescuer was worried. A day later, I
finally turned up. I had a big cut on my nose, I was limping, and
looked pretty rough. I had gotten beat up badly by the other cats. So
that was it - my rescuer kept me inside for a couple of days - until I
could get to the vet and to a foster home. My rescuer was not able to
keep me, so I have gone to a foster home with dog and a cat, and would
love a permanent home of my own. I am very gentle, laid-back and get
along with everyone.
I am now a very handsome, brown tabby with white. Initially, I was a
dirty gray cat - it was a surprise to my rescuer to see that my coat
was actually white! I have gorgeous markings (almost like a Bengal
tiger) with a big fluffy tail - like a racoon's! I am about 1
- 2 years old. I have been neutered, vaccinated and vet-checked. I have
tested negative for FIV and for feline leukemia and am disease-free. I
have been de-wormed and de-fleaed. I had received an eye infection when
I got beat up, and that has been treated. (I was great at having the
medication put in my eye and gave my foster no problems at all!) I
am super friendly, LOVE pats and cuddles, and being
held, and having my belly rubbed.
Will you please adopt me and finally allow me to belong somewhere
permanently? I am really exhausted of always being on the run and not
having my own home..... I will keep you company and snuggle with you -
and make you as happy as you will make me happy.....
