Mama Cat

Mama Phyllis:
I was a stray outside. I spent most of my winter foraging for food on my rescuers front porch. I was so afraid, I would climb on the roof to make sure that I did not come in contact with any people. I slowly began to trust my rescuer who started leaving food for me outside. After, I spent a few -30 degree Celcius days outside, with the windchill, I gathered up enough courage and started to peer through the windows at the well-fed cats warm and snug inside the house. My rescuer came outside with some food, and I knew immediately that this was a good thing. She brought me inside to a nice warm room.
Since then, from the terrified, thin, malnourished, and worm-infested cat that I was, I have blossomed into a beautiful healthy brown tabby with a shiny coat. With the love from my rescuer, I have learned to trust humans again and have become a very affectionate cat. I love to sit in your lap. I trusted my rescuer implicitly, and a few weeks of coming inside, asked my rescuer to help me deliver my kittens that were on their way. I will be ready for a permanent home in August, once all my kittens have been weaned and adopted. All of my kittens have been adopted into new homes. |
