Cat for Adoption
Description
I was named Billy by one of my rescuers, which
means "cat" in the Urdu language. I am an extremely large, powerful,
strong male tom cat. I am black and white, with the most expressive
beautiful green eyes. It almost looks like I am wearing black eyeliner
under my eyes. I also have a few large gashes across my nose, which adds
character to my handsome face! I am very young - only about two years
old. I was first spotted a few weeks ago, trying to eat some food from
my rescuer's porch. My rescuer had been trying to help another cat come
inside, when I showed up. Despite my large impressive size, I was always
rather timid and hid under cars until my rescuer left, before eating.
One evening, one of my rescuers saw me running down the street - about
10 blocks away. I looked at her pleadingly with my beautiful expressive
eyes, telling her that I was hungry and scared, and asking if she could
help? She convinced me to follow-her the 10 blocks down, where I was
rewarded with a buffet of good food, and water that was not frozen.
After that, my rescuer could come out and put food in front of me, and I
would no longer hide when she did that. I was slowly starting to trust
her. I would sit and watch while she put the food out, and even ate in
front of her. It was getting colder out, and she was worried about me,
so once again she communicated with me. She told me that she would be
able to help me more if I came inside, out of the cold. She told me that
she had a short window of time to help me. So I listened, and the next
day, I came inside. And now, here I am, hoping I made the right
decision..... I was always hungry outside, as there was never enough
food, so that is certainly one advantage to being inside. Plus, as the
scars on my nose will attest to, I got beat up a lot outside. However, I
am still a little shy and bewildered by all these sudden changes. I
have been to the vet's, was checked over and have been neutered. I am
now in a foster home, waiting until I get a permanent home of my own.
Will you please adopt me into a good home and be kind to me, so that I
know I made the right decision to come inside?
A happy, healthy-looking Billy - in his new permanent home!
