Cat for Adoption
I was nicknamed "Dusty" by my rescuer because I was such a dirty, dusty
cat outside! I was first noticed outside during the freezing winter -
with Sylvester. We were both outside freezing during the terrible
winter storms. Thankfully, our rescuer put food, water and a shelter
out for us, so we were able to survive. Sylvester is braver and more
outgoing than I am, so our rescuers saw Sylvester a lot more than me. I
hid in the background, and as soon as someone approached, I hid or ran
away.
Sylvester started getting sick, so he started hanging out more with our
rescuers. He got so sick that he allowed them to bring him inside to
help him. After Sylvester was brought to the vet for assistance, I
started becoming braver. I had to - I was worried about my friend! I
started jumping up on the window ledges of our rescuer's house -
peering in through all the windows - looking to see where my friend /
brother had gone. I hung around the house more and even stayed in the
shelter, greatly appreciating the food my rescuers were giving me. As
the weeks went by, my search for Sylvester increased. And as the
weather got better and warmer, I started looking worse. I was losing
weight and got dirtier and dirtier. My rescuer decided that it was time
to bring me inside as well - before I got as sick as Sylvester.
I am inside now, being fostered with my beloved Sylvester. I am eating
regularly, and a clean white cat once again! I am a handsome short-hair
all white male cat. It is estimated that I am about 3 - 4 years old. I
have been examined by a vet, neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and
de-fleaed. I am a little shy still around new people. I get along well
with other cats, and would love to be adopted to my permanent home with
my friend/brother Sylvester - after surviving the winter (and probably
longer) outside together. It is guess that we were likely dumped /
abandoned outside together previously.
