Cat for Adoption
I'm a tiny petite little female kitten. My rescuer first noticed me in early summer. I would sneak onto her deck late at night to try and find something to eat. Soon, I started trusting her and allowed my rescuer to approach me, but still did not want any physical contact. My rescuer was alarmed when I appeared one night with a rather large tummy. Despite being a small starving young kitten myself with protruding ribs, it looked as if I was pregnant..... :(
By this time, I had a voracious appetite and wanted to come inside. I pounded on the door when I arrived. I miaowed loudly and even tried to break in through the window a few times. Unfortunately, my rescuer could not bring me inside because she had a dominant male cat who would go ballistic when he saw me, and would never allow me to share their small bachelor apartment with him.
Luckily a kind foster with Hungry and Homeless Cat Rescue agreed to take me in, so that I would not have to give birth to my kittens out in the street. However, a strange thing happened. By the time I got in, I was no longer pregnant! Because I was so frail and skinny, my body likely re-absorbed the kittens.
My rescuer brought me inside and I was picked up and taken to the vet. I was deemed to be about 8 -9 months old, although I was so thin, I looked like I was only a few months old.
Once I was inside, I became the sweetest most affectionate girl. I purred and purred my thank yous for the plentiful food and water. I loved being inside with all the attention and unlimited pats!
Now that I have spent some time inside, I have blossomed into a beautiful healthy young adult cat. I am about 1 year old. I have been vaccinated and de-wormed, and will be getting spayed soon. The vet wanted to wait for me to gain a little weight and strength, before putting me under anaesthetic.
I would love a permanent home of my own! Please adopt me. You won't regret it. I am a very good, sweet-natured cat. I am super affectionate and playful. And very beautiful! Thank you for reading my story.
