I would love a permanent, safe, quiet home. I had a very traumatic experience. I previously had a home & family, but suddenly found myself homeless due to a break-in and shooting. My life was in danger so thankfully a foster home was found for me quickly. I have always been an indoor cat, and would not have done well outside. As a result of this traumatic event, I am very nervous and jumpy of loud noises. I would therefore do well in a home without young children. Initially, I cringed and hid if someone tried to pat me. However, once I feel safe and trust you, I am a super cuddly, affectionate, purring lap kitty! You can ask my foster - I live in her lap when she is home! She says my purr is as loud as an idling truck!

I am very easy to get along with, and am cool with other cats. I enjoy playing with my foster's cat; he reassures me that nothing bad will happen when someone comes to the door. In fact, I've had many people come over and give me lots of pats & cuddles, so I am slowly overcoming my trauma.

I am a big, handsome, short-hair black male, with a white undercoat. I have a patch of bare skin on my belly due to stress. After this whole ordeal, I licked the fur completely off a patch on my tummy. It is now slowly growing back. I am estimated to be about 5 years old. I am neutered, have been de-wormed, and am all up-to-date on vaccines.

If someone wants a super friendly, cuddle-monster, lap kitty, and is understanding of my post-traumatic stress and terror of loud noises, I will make a wonderful lifelong companion. I would love a home where my family is home a lot - to reassure me that I will be safe. Thanks for thinking of me.
