I am
a very lucky to be alive, thanks to my rescuer, vet and foster! I was
noticed screaming for attention and trying to break into a neighbour's
home of a Hungry and Homeless Cat Rescue foster. The neighbour allowed
me to sleep in the shed for the night. I was given a warm soft blanket
and lots of food and water. I was in a really bad state - just a sack
of bones, with hollow, sunken eyes, and the worst hacking cough you had
ever heard. The foster (my rescuer) didn't sleep all night - was too
worried about me. First thing the next morning, my rescuer rushed me
off to the vet's.
I was told I had a really bad pneuomonia and Upper Respiratory
Infection. I was severely underweight. I also had a really badly
skinned nose - no one is sure how I got that - if I was locked in
somewhere and had to push my way out? Or if I tried to push my way into
a home for some shelter and food? I also have the Guiness Book of
Records for having the most ticks pulled off of me.....!
I was so sick that I had to stay at the vet's for 4 days -
reciving IV fluids and antibiotics. Because I was there so long and
didn't have a name yet, the vet and staff nicknamed me "Mr. Chalupa"
and the name stuck. From there, I went to my foster's home
where I now have regular food, cuddles and pats - and my own room!
I am super affectionate and cuddly, and cannot get enough attention. I
am in heaven when I get pats and cuddles all day long, and sleep beside
my foster. I was likely dumped or abandoned outside, and would love a
real permanent home this time - one that won't throw me out again.
I am a very handsome, young (skinny) male - only about 1 old. I am a
gray tabby with lots of white. Once I am strong enough, I will be
neutered. My body is currently not strong enough for the surgery. I
have been treated for worms and fleas.
Will you please adopt me and give me the real permanent home I deserve
and wish for?
I will keep you company and be your snugglebug for life!
