Cat for Adoption

I am a gorgeous short-hair tabby kitten with diluted peach markings, hence my name! I was named as a result of a vote on the Rescue Facebook Page!

My rescuer first noticed me outside in early June, coming around to eat the food that she was putting out for another cat in need. That cat disappeared and then I started coming around regularly. I am a very friendly sweet affectionate little girl, and was always very happy to see my Rescuer. She put a collar on me with a note - asking if I had an owner. She posted a found cat report with the Ottawa Humane Society, but to no avail. No one claimed me and no one was looking for me.... :(

I really wanted a home, so I started coming inside my Rescuer's home frequently. My Rescuer kept putting me outside in the hopes that I would return home, but because I apparently had no home to go to, I just stayed in her backyard - waiting and waiting until I could come inside again.  My rescuer's neighbours saw me waiting outside at the door at all hours. :(

So, after a few weeks of this, my Rescuer brought me inside and became my foster. I was soooo happy to finally be inside and have regular meals and feel safe. My foster home had a resident cat, and even though he had never been around other cats before, he & I hit it off wonderfully! I've adopted him as my big brother and enjoy playing and wrestling with him.

I was taken to the vet, and it was determined that I was just a young 7-8 month old kitten. There was some concern that I was pregnant, but thankfully I went into heat soon after coming in, so I was not pregnant. I have since been spayed and vaccinated, and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. I am a very healthy little kitten.

I am a super sweet, playful little kitten who would love a home with a young energetic playmate. I tire out my big brother in my foster home sometimes, because he is older and likes to sleep a lot. I always want to play, so he's been getting a lot of exercise with me around!

I hope someone will adopt me. Many people have said they were interested in adopting me, and said they wanted to come and meet me, but then they don't show up or call. I don't know why I was abandoned and no one wants to adopt me now? I am a very sweet kitten with gorgeous colouring and markings, and a great personality! Please give me a chance at having a real permanent home.
