We are three little brothers who came inside all at different times. We were all freezing outside during the terrible cold winter, and a kind lady regularly fed us and our mother at an elementary school - hence our name - the School Rescue Kittens.
Our feeder and another lady brought us in one at a time (a couple of weeks apart), but unfortunately they left our poor mother outside. We hope that she is OK still being fed.:(
TAECAN *I'm Adopted* (nicknamed "SUEDE" for my soft silky fur): My name TAECAN is an Old English word meaning to show or give instruction. A perfect name for the big brother who showed his little brothers the ropes. I was the first kitten of our family to come inside (School Rescue Kitten #1), and because of this, I was the most social and affectionate kitten at first. I love to play and cuddle with my foster. I also love other cats and enjoy playing with the big cats in my foster home. I am a short-hair gray, 6-month old boy. I have been neutered, vaccinated and de-wormed. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers or my mother when she comes inside.
PRENTICE *I'm Adopted* (nicknamed "SHADOW") : My name PRENTICE is an English name meaning learning, beginning. That's what I did when I first came inside - I learned a lot! I was the 2nd brother to come inside (School Rescue Kitten #2), and a bit of a mystery. Although it was determined that Taecan and I were brothers and we looked identical, I was a lot smaller and the vet placed me at 4 months old. So, either Taecan was a lot bigger and more advanced for his age, or I was extra small and still had all my baby teeth. I was very upset when I first came inside and wailed incessantly for my mom. When I saw my big brother and realized that he was OK, I settled down. I was so happy to see my brother again, that I followed him everywhere - just like his shadow! We were nicknamed "the twins" because we have identical colouring (we are both short-hair gray tabbies), however the only difference was that Taecan was a lot bigger than me. I was terrified of people initially, but once I saw how Taecan enjoyed being around them, I followed suit and soon became an affectionate little cuddler as well! I too would love to be adopted with one of my brothers (especially Taecan) or my mother. I sure miss her! I too neutered, de-wormed and vaccinated, and ready for a permanent home!
SKOLA (nicknamed "JAKEY") : My name is a derivative of the Latin word for School, since we lived at a school and may have been born at the school. We are very smart kittens, and are quick learners - the best students you could ask for! I was the 3rd brother to come inside (School Rescue Kitten #3), and the least happy to be brought inside and leave my mom behind. I too wailed and didn't want anyone to approach me for the longest time. I did not trust any humans and really wanted to be with my mom. However, after a lot of encouragement from my brothers and fosters, I slowly came around. And now, I am the most loving and affectionate of the brothers! But you must take the time to earn my trust first. I sleep on my foster mom's pillow and go to sleep purring away in her ear.... I am really attached to my foster mom and give her baths and kisses all the time - especially when we're snuggling before we get up in the morning. I too love to play and ADORE other cats. I follow the big cats in my foster home everywhere. I enjoy cuddling with them and playing with them. I also love playing with the toys in my foster home. I am the little black sheep of the family - a short-hair black tabby. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers, or my mother. (We are still hoping that she will come inside.) I have been neutered, vaccinated and de-wormed. If you adopt me and are nice to me, I will be your most devoted, affectionate kitten. I would not be suitable for a home with young children, as their sudden movements and noise scare me.
