Cat for Adoption

Sparkle

I was fed and kept alive by school children who fed me their lunches. At night, I found shelter (and in the day from the rain) under a staircase.  During the days, I walked to the elementary school, and begged and cried for food to the passerbyes. At lunchtime, I went into the playground. The children, who saw that I was so hungry that I was eating leaves, twigs & bugs on the ground - kindly fed me their tuna sandwiches and whatever else they could give me from their lunches.

These children named me "Sparkle" or "Rainbow Sparkle" - because I am a tortoishell cat with a shimmering coat. Although in the photos I look like a black cat, I actually have lots of flecks of orange and gold that "sparkle" in my coat - hence the name that the children gave me! I am a really beautiful little girl, with big gorgeous amber eyes.

One day, I followed a lady and  her daughter en route to school. I ran after them - crying for food. They fed me. This continued for a few days, and was a very lucky break for me. The lady, who was the daughter of one the fosters for Hungry and Homeless Cat Rescue, turned out to be my rescuer. After seeing me for several days, posting posters about me, asking all the neighbours if I had a home, she brought me home when it appeared that I was indeed homeless and that no one was looking after me or for me. I was sooo happy to be inside, and gave a ton of purrs of gratitude!

Because there was nowhere to put me, I was sent to my rescuer's mother - the foster - and lived in her bathroom for a couple of days. I was so happy to be inside, that anywhere was wonderful! I am a super affectionate little girl. In fact, I was so love-starved, that I all want is cuddles and pats, and purr in great joy when I get the attention I so desperately wanted. After a couple of days, I then went  to the vet for an appointment. I was scanned for a microchip, but there was no identifying information on me.

The vet deemed me to be healthy. I was not spayed of course, and very young - only one year old or less. I was de-wormed and treated for fleas, and got my vaccines.

From the vet's, I went to live in a crate in a foster home. Because there was nowhere for me to go, I shared a room with two fosters. Because we did not know each other, I was kept in a crate. A week later, I was brought again to the vet's to be spayed. Sadly, at my young age and starving state, I was already pregnant... :(

I recuperated in my crate. When my foster siblings were moved to another home with more space, I then got the room and was out of my crate! However, I am quite lonely in there on my own. I am such a sweet social affectionate little girl, that I just want to be glued to someone 24-7. Will you please adopt me and cuddle me and love me for the rest of my life? And make sure that I will never have to bum lunches from kids again in order to survive? I am a cat that when you meet, you will completely fall in love with..... Please adopt me and let me keep you company - I don't like being all by myself in a room and am very lonely..... :-(
